dtownMARKET began on May 19th 2011 when I (Kala Wolfe, owner of Retrospective Vintage) organized a one-time pop up market for local artists to come together and sell their goods. Today dtownMARKET isn’t just an event, it’s a community of really amazing people. The purpose of dtownMARKET is to give local artists a space to showcase their work, perhaps make a little money, and bring local art and design to the community. It’s really about having a good time, and we always do.
All of our artists are local and make a huge variety of items including but not limited to: specialty food items, hand crafted coffee and teas, vintage clothing and accessories, antiques, furniture, jewelry, fashion lines, hats, repurposed goods, pottery, bags, fine art, and pretty much any art or artisanal item you can think of!
In 2013 we will now be at Motorco Music Hall ra the last Saturday of each month from 12pm-5pm. There will be a full bar and local food truck at each event. You can find dtownMARKET vendors in the GarageBar space and sometimes spilling outside or into the main showroom of the venue as well. There is a large rotating group of vendors, so there is always something new to see or taste.
Like I said earlier, we really just want to hang out and have a good time, and we want you there with us.
