Hello dtowners,

I’ve been wanting to tell you all about the busy month that is starting for us this Sunday, and I think I’ve finally found the time to compose the post of such magnitude that July warrants for dtownMARKET!

First of all, as this Sunday, July 1st, is the first Sunday of the month (and promising to be the hottest Sunday yet this year) it’s dtownMARKET time at Motorco!  We will be in the showroom (thank goodness for A/C!) We have 7 new vendors joining us this week, and 2 of them are coming all of the way from Wilmington, NC!  As always we’ll be accompanied by the best bloody mary’s in the triangle, Ko Kyu BBQ, and The Parlour!!  The July 15th market is also shaping up to be a great mix of vendors, so check back soon to see who will be with us!

Next up, we have a HUGE event on Thursday July 19th at Motorco Music Hall – reFASHIONED – Durham’s first annual fashion show.  Did I say HUGE? Well, I meant it!!!  We have designers from all over the triangle coming out to showcase their work for a night of fashion and dance.  Johnny D’Real Laww will be our host for the evening with DJ’s Nerve, Queen Plz, and Birdgherl providing the beats.  The runway portion of the show will start at 7:30 with dancing and other fun beginning around 9pm.  Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.  Purchase tickets online here.

And last for July, but certainly not least, dtownMARKET, will be returning to Third Friday Durham with our Moshi Moshi ArtMart!!  This will be our third time joining forces with the very stylish Moshi Moshi Salon at their Durham location in Building 2 of the Golden Belt.  We’re very excited to be back at Moshi Moshi and to bring our art to Third Friday, so join us from 7-9pm on July 20.

I’m crazy excited for our events this month, and I hope to see some new faces brave the heat to come and check out what we do.  Our vendors are local artists/creatives, and they all have interesting stories, so come on out and get to know us!
